Baranya is one of the most geographically diverse counties in Hungary. Floodplains, hills, and mountains are harmoniously interconnected. In this region, Mecsekerdő Ltd. manages 55,000 hectares in this landscape, which accounts for half of the forest areas of Baranya. The southern border of its farming area is the Drava River, with its floodplain forests, at an altitude of 100-110 meters above sea level. To the northwest of the Drava is Zselic, which is a Pannonian hilly region, on average 140-300 meters above sea level. The east-west Mecsek Mountains are one of the largest island mountains in South Transdanubia, with the highest peak being the Zengő at 682 meters. The majority of the areas managed by the 5 forestry units of Mecsekerdő Ltd. are protected by NATURA2000, and show the areas of enhanced protection.

The main objectives of the company are to promote energy efficiency, rational promotion of energy sources, new and renewable energy sources, and energy diversification in the Northern Great Plain region. Our activities are primarily focused on energy efficiency, renewable energy, climate protection, and energy policy. For

decision-makers, economic actors, and society to recognize the benefits of alternative energy sources and the opportunities inherent in their application as soon as possible, the Agency organizes programs and cooperates with other organizations, professional associations, and companies operating in the energy efficiency and renewable energy industries. In the course of our daily work, we provide professional information on current sources of funding for municipalities, businesses, and individuals, prepare and manage projects, and raise awareness of environmental awareness and energy efficiency.

KASZÓ Zrt. is located in one of the largest and most diverse counties of Hungary, within the large landscape of the Transdanubian Hills, in the sandy region of West-Interior-Somogy with a diverse landscape, it carries out forestry on nearly 15,000 hectares and wildlife management on approximately 25,000 hectares.
